2014 SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards winners

While the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs) have always been welcome and respected by the industry, it was clear a refresh was needed to ensure relevancy. 2014 saw an evolution of the SARAs to better recognise those agencies demonstrating recruitment excellence through a true showcase of their talents.

Previously determined by populist vote, the new awards structure saw recruiters deliver entry submissions to a judging panel of some of local industry’s finest minds. The new entry process was designed with the goal of empowering recruitment agencies to showcase leadership and innovation, while enabling our judges to identify high performers.

Even though this is quite a shift, the spirit of the SARAs remains the same and we believe we now have a framework in place that truly celebrates best practice in the industry.

As you will all be too aware, talent sourcing is becoming more complex; a broad brush stroke approach will no longer deliver the desired results. Sitting on our hands as the world changes at a rapid pace would be at the detriment to the recruitment industry as a whole. In a sector that has gone through a lot of change in recent years, our hope is that the SARAs acts as the impetus for all of us to examine our business practices and processes with a view to continually bettering the experience delivered to candidates.

This hope was the motivation behind introducing one of our new award categories in 2014, ‘Most Innovative Use of Insights’. The focus of this award is on how agencies use data and analytics to fuel innovation and drive improvement within the business, something we should all be mindful of to retain a competitive edge and provide the best candidate experience.

We hope you consider entering the SARAs in 2015 – the new entry mechanism may seem like it’s a little more intensive than previous years but, we promise, the experience of reviewing your operations will be more than worth the time involved. Please join us in congratulating the winners of the 2014 SARAs:
